“If music be the food of love, play on.”
William Shakespere – Twelfth Night
My Love For Music
From a very young age music has been a major part of my life, my early influences came from my family my Dad enjoyed classic Rock yet my Mum preferred Soul and Motown. My love for Swing Music came from my Grandparents and my good friend Greg Warterton whom I met whilst studying Theatre Studies at Bretton Hall.
My first taste of performing came whilst at Primary School when I was in various Nativity plays and yet the most memorable for me was the musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream-coat. Once I moved on to High School I learnt to play the Trombone and then auditioned for the school musical West Side Story which is where my singing career really started. I loved every aspect of performing and I guess you could say I caught “The Bug”.
After achieving an A at GCSE in drama I then moved onto college and studied A ‘Levels in Performing Arts and Theatre Studies, whilst at college I was a founder member of a Musical Theatre group called Purple Patch Productions who have had an impressive number of members who have had successful careers on both Stage and Screen.
I went on to Bretton Hall College which was part of Leeds University in 1998 to study Theatre Studies and graduated in 2001 with a BA Hons Degree.
Since graduating I have been incredibly lucky with my career which has allowed me to travel the world doing something that I love. I have toured the UK, acted on TV and was lead vocalist onboard a Cruise Ship where I met my wife.
Over the past 16 years I have enjoyed singing from a wide range of audiences from Rugby Stadiums to intimate Weddings and I can honestly say I have enjoyed every moment.
I hope you enjoy the music I have shared here and please let me know if you feel I can help make your event a special one.
Sir Bob has asked me to pass on his sincere thanks and appreciation for all your hard work on Monday. The family were delighted and would certainly book you again without hesitation for any future events they arrange.
With thanks & sincere regards,
