Wedding entertainment at Foxfield Country Hotel Clitheroe, Lancashire.

Wow what a wedding I performed at on Friday. It was my first time providing wedding entertainment at Foxfield Country Hotel in Clitheroe, Lancashire, and I must say I loved it. The staff there were so friendly and helpful and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived.

I set up on the lounge area to sing during the drinks reception. The bride Caroline had researched online before booking me and wanted a versatile entertainer who could be a swing singer for when guests arrived after a church wedding service. I sang a mix of Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble, Dean Martin and even some Elvis requests. The guests were really complementary throughout my performance and I could tell we were in for a fantastic day.

The wedding venue had been very tastefully dressed with a white and gold colour scheme. There were also some really nice touches including these stunning light up letters.

The seating plan was cool wanted using wooden crates and collection of frames which worked perfectly.

At 15.45 I was then in wedding host mode, I announced the the new Mr & Mrs Ramsbottom into the wedding breakfast to Marry You by Bruno Mars and then announced the speeches before the meal. First up was Father if the bride Ian who

Made a funny yet heart felt speech about his daughter Caroline. Next up was groom Greg who seemed well prepared and delivered his well constructed speech before handing over to best man Chris. I genuinely wasn’t expecting much as Chris had seemed a bit nervous before getting up to speak but when he stood up he was fantastic. He had the perfect mix of humour and sentiment and his comedy timing was brilliant.

After the speeches I was back into wedding singer mode and kicked off the wedding breakfast entertainment with That’s Amore by Dean Martin to which everyone in the room joined in and spun their napkins in the air.
